NEETs as those who neither study nor have a job or profession, have been the topic in statistical and social discussions of countries in recent years, in which, Iran's contribution to this concept is close to zero. This research is an ethnographic study about the lifestyle of NEETs in Tehran. Among the definitions related to the two concepts of NEETs and lifestyle, Bourdieu's perspective on lifestyle has been chosen as the central theme and concept of this research. This is a qualitative research that has been carried out in two stages of ethnographic study and semi-structured interview where a total of 30 interviews were conducted with targeted exploratory-chain sampling and with maximum diversity until reaching the conceptual saturation. The qualitative data was evaluated through foundational data theory and thematic analysis method. Finally, 5 main categories (identity, timing, biological consumption, virtual consumption and health and beauty) and 13 sub-categories were ascertained, which showed that the lifestyle of NEETs is mostly formed around the issue of identity. In other words, they identify biological and virtual consumptions, beauty and healthcare and even time in virtual space. Their collective activities are with other NEET youth who share a similar lifestyle and care about appearances, from the way they dress to cosmetic surgery. Most of them do not have a vision for the future and only enjoy the moment and do not see the need to participate in future building.

Centralized, unbalanced, and unequal development in the last century has posed serious challenges to Iran's social setup, including ever-increasing deprivation in some metropolitan areas. The city of Kermanshah, apart from these processes, has experienced double deprivation, due to other factors such as an imposed war as well as its special geographical, social and cultural characteristics. This deprivation is the main theme of this study, with emphasis on everyday life among deprived and privileged areas of Kermanshah. We have surveyed and analyzed indices of the economic capital, cultural capital, leisure time activities, body management, and preferences (in literature, cinema, music, food, and economics domains), in 13 deprived and 2 privileged neighborhoods, with 800 samples. Findings indicate that deprived neighborhoods generally follow a relatively similar pattern in different economic, cultural, leisure, tastes and body management arenas, despite minor differences, the main feature of which is poverty and deprivation. In most indicators, there found to be a significant difference between deprived and privileged areas. Also, there had been a positive correlation between the economic situation and the variables of "cultural capital", "body management", "artistic and literary preferences" and "economic logic". Demographic variables such as age, education and job were also important in changing the amount of capitals.

In a minority society, culture is more tangible and locates the individual in the larger society. So far, in terms of Armenian lifestyle (in housing) and dealing with it closely, few studies have been conducted. The present study is based on the principle that one of the main pillars of housing quality is the connection of the house with the culture by which the people live. To improve the quality of housing in which a family resides with-in a certain community who share common characteristics, it is necessary to increase the cultural and habitat correspondence. The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of lifestyle on housing and subsequent effects of Armenian social and individual lifestyle patterns on their neighborhood, the exterior and interior layout and how to use housing. Before results analysis, to achieve the research objectives through a mixed re-search method, case studies have been taken in an Armenian neighborhood of Tehran. Also, in qualitative part of the study, daily life of the residents in the housing and out-side area, as well as short interviews with residents have been conducted and validated using space syntax analysis techniques. The results show that people engage in activities throughout the day, week, month and year, depending on everything that goes into their lifestyle. These are reflected in specific functions in specific places of the house and eventually, there are spaces that are more important regarding to Armenians’ activities.

The main aim of this paper is to describe and explain the culture of cellphone consuming. Meanwhile, indexes of lifestyle have been applied among subjects (University students). Theoretical framework of this research is Pierre Bourdieu’s consumer lifestyle. This study is based on survey method with sample size of 400 students. Questionnaire has been used for gathering data from respondents (students of state university and medical university of Shahrekord). The results of this study showed that, using Bourdieu’s theory, we can explain many students behavior about consuming cellphone. Moreover, findings about using social media between respondents have confirmed the theory of anonymity in cyberspace about applications such as Viber, Line and What’s up.

Although lifestyle is not a merely sociological term, it owes it conceptualization to a greater or lesser degree to the sociological studies conducted on this concept since the emergence of this discipline. The conceptualization of lifestyle as a research topic can be traced back to the classical period of this field in the 19th century. At that time, pioneers in the field of sociology, while explaining the difference between society and community, focused on the forms and models of human lifestyle in the new society. This term has recently attracted a lot of attention in different researches and studies in the academic sphere in Iran. Two questions are of importance here: can lifestyle be formulated in the Iranian society as a sociological issue, in the same sense as it was formulated in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries in Europe? Have the sociological researches conducted so far been able to deal with their own formulation, according to the frameworks of the problematic quality of lifestyle in the Iranian society in all aspects of a research, such as problem statement, concepts, theories, methods and findings? To answer this question, eleven scientific research articles, written in Iran with sociological approaches to lifestyle, have been examined using textual analysis method. The present article aims to study the approaches of the sample articles from different aspects of research, in the light of a sociological attitude toward the concept of lifestyle.

On the whole boys use the leisure facilities of dormitory much more than girls. In addition, more than half of the students are not satisfied with the way they spend their leisure and the most important reason of their unsatisfying is mentioned the limitation of recreational facilities and financial problems.
