Farabi did not deal with art and beauty in a special and separate way, and he has no other writings in this field, except for a work entitled "Great Music", which has a scientific and mathematical perspectives. Therefore, his principal fame is due to his extraordinary opinions in the field of politics and political philosophy. He considers the goal of individual and collective human life to be reaching happiness. But he considers life in a perfect and virtuous society to be necessary for a person to achieve happiness. Man should be raised and educated in such a society to reach happiness, which is a political goal and of course otherworldly. The teacher and guide must be able to use his imagination to reach the useful mind. It is from this channel that artists play a key role in Farabi's utopia and are ranked next to the head of Medina. The two concepts of imagination and simulation, on the one hand, in the education of citizens, and on the other hand, in the creation of works of art, highlight the dignity and social-political position of artists. Farabi's definition of beauty is based on the concept of perfection. In fact, perfection is beauty, even though perfection is happiness. With such an attitude, it can be concluded that the whole of Farabi's political philosophy has an aesthetic aspect, and in this way, the elements of his political aesthetics can be compiled. In this article, by using the collection of library information and the descriptive-analytical method, elements such as happiness, imagination and similes have been examined and addressed the definition of beauty that Farabi has based on perfection.

The study emphasizes the exacerbated areas of conflict and distance between religions and sects in Iran’s southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan. Within the framework of a qualitative study and based on the grounded theory, interviews were conducted with 25 residents of the province over a six-month period. Following the principle of theoretical sampling, semi-structured interviews were conducted with the participants. The findings were coded and analyzed through the Strauss and Corbin method. In open coding, the interviews were read multiple times, resulting in the extraction of approximately 95 meaningful concepts. These were then synthesized into 7 main and abstract categories as well as 16 subcategories. Finally, a core category "conflicting forces and disintegration of interactions between religions and sects," which is comprehensive and concise, was extracted capturing all the main categories and narrative of the data. This research demonstrates that factors such as discrimination, non-acceptance of others, lack of wisdom among some religious scholars, and the absence of free discourse in a socio-cultural context shaped by economic problems and influenced by geographical factors as well as the intervention of factors such as extreme ethnic and religious prejudices, led to the formation of an extremist and biased network with internal and external interests, which work towards preventing interaction between religions and sects. The outcome of this process is humiliating and insulting actions of people, as well as a change in their perception of religion.

Therefore, Persian rap music as a part of Iranian popular culture, between 2001 and 2011 was analyzed. We used qualitative research approach. The main method used in this study, was "Constructive Grounded Theory ". So instead of using existing theories as a theoretical framework, the researcher sought to generate local theory from research field. Thus, using theoretical sampling, data compiled from various sources. The multiple data collection techniques such as interviews, observation, online observation, collecting documents and texts were used. Then all the data was coded with using open, axial and selective coding methods. Finally, 62 concepts and 16 categories derived from data and "plural form of masculinity in Iranian-Persian rap music" was defined as the core category. Then according to paradigmatic model, "Substantive Theory" emerged from the data, was presented as "story" and "visual model". Finally seven questions of Strauss and Corbin about the experience in research has been assessed to evaluating research.

In a contemporary individualistic world with a significant diversity of groups, institutions, identities, and attitudes, cultures are likely to collide, especially among young people. In such circumstances, it is social tolerance that prevents the eruption of violence and conflict in a culturally diverse society. Therefore, the present study aims to study the relationship between individualism and social tolerance in the youth of Bojnord. A total of 825 young people were selected by the multi-stage cluster sampling technique and interviewed through a questionnaire. Its reliability and validity are confirmed by Cronbach's alpha technique and face validity. The findings show that there is a significant and direct relationship between moral individualism and social tolerance, extreme individualism and social tolerance, as well as between moral individualism / extreme individualism and the three dimensions of social tolerance (political, identity, and behavior). The results of the regression coefficient show that moral individualism and extreme individualism explain about 34% of the variance of social tolerance. Thus, with the spread of one of the cultural consequences of modernity, namely individualism, social tolerance increases in society.

Hijab is a sign, a sign of cultural differences which has various emergences in different communities. In this article the Islamic veil among Muslims in the West is discussed as an “Islamic Identity” and as a phenomenon of “Cultural Difference” with the Western societies. This sign has represented the Muslim not only as a religious group, a minority which belongs to the East, and a group of people that their culture is different with the dominant culture of the West, but also is different from Westerners how does not accept the culture of veil for women in general. Furthermore, it is emerging different cultural and religious discourses in the Western societies which could be assumed as a challenge to the dominant culture of freedom, liberalism and feminism discourse. This paper aims to clarify the approaches of cultural semiotics, especially, the cultural policy of difference as a new approach to strengthen the neo-orientalism and neo-colonialism approaches and how the discourse of the veil and the otherness is developed in the Western societies. Discourse analysis of various news and reports in Western Media demonstrate the emergence of new methods of discourse on issues related to Islam and Muslims in general and the “Islamic veil” as a special way of life to put the “Islamic Identity” in opposition to the “Western Identity” which is affected by the orientalism discourse on its old and new approaches. This new way of discourse is trying to institutionalize the idea of “I and the other” based on the new understanding of “otherness” and “the cultural policies of difference”.

Films selection was based on purposive sampling and continuity in film making in order to reveal the directors view of different generation as well as the importance of the city as a driving element in the narrative. Image represented from Tehranian youths shows that their consideration of Citizenship status, is a vertical consideration that despite of their efforts in resisting the interests of the ruling power, eventually they see themselves in situations to be inevitably subordinate and passive receptive of environmental change. Special features of Tehran like will and power, put pressure on young people to make decision or reaction, and if they weren’t in this city, they would not act similar. The city that represented in this movies, is a place that characters have short and unstable relationship on it, and its insecurity atmosphere suppresses the aspirations of young people, in their demand to find their goals, tehran leads them outside its territory, Tehran is a place that put spaces among heroes, generations and its citizens ,which marginalize the new generation grew up in its context from the mainstream of the society at the expense of trying to choose and determining their own destiny

The present study is aimed to develop a model for assessing public culture at universities and evaluating its indicators at public universities in Mashhad. The research follows an exploratory mixed approach. Research strategies in qualitative and quantitative sections are thematic networks analysis and descriptive- survey method, respectively. In the qualitative section, document analysis and semi-structured interviews with cultural experts are used as research tools. In this section, targeted sampling is carried out. In the quantitative section, a questionnaire which is developed based on the findings of the qualitative section is used as the research tool. Research population of the quantitative section consists of all the students who are admitted to public universities in Mashhad between 2009 and 2012. Sample size was calculated according to Cochran’s formula. Stratified sampling was used to select the sample. The results of the qualitative section led to the identification of 44 basic themes which are referred to as the micro indicators. These themes were clustered into similar groups. Then, 10 organizer themes were identified and recognized as macro indicators. In the next phase, importance factor of each indicator is determined according to the AHP method. The results of the qualitative assessment of indicators at public universities of Mashhad show that the overall cultural index declines during the years the student attends the university. Additionally, the highest correlation exists between national identity and revolutionary identity. The only negative correlations are observed between family and two indicators including social capital and cultural consumption. The results of the present study can be used to assess the state of public culture among university students and also be considered as a basis for assessing cultural planning.

This paper attempts to study the correlation between IRIB’s Religious and Non-religious programs, and the levels of religiosity in Iran. Accordingly, I would firstly explain the key concepts as religious program, non-religious program, religious broadcasting, and Ideological broadcasting; then, analyzing some instant programs, from non-religious to religious, I would attempt to formulize their impacts on one’s definition of religion –either as a private or simultaneously private and public matter. It is shown that in the trilogy of purely religious, purely entertaining, and mediated religious programs, it is the third which satisfy a religious television’s ideal.

This research is an attempt to study the interpretations and decodings of a soap opera called Faseleha by women of Elam. The theoretical approach of this research is that which has been developed in cultural studies to study television audiences. The main question is this: which ideas and values are dominant and taken for granted in Faseleha, and how do audiences (here, women of Elam) interpret and decode the preferred reading of the text and which discourses are available for them and inform them in this process. In the first section, we have used semiology to to illuminate the preferred reading of the text and, in the second section, we have studied women readings by way of focused group interview. The findings showed that the audiences read Faseleha very differently and actively, they are not passive consumers.

The research method is descriptive-survey which the requirements of actors in management of technology in Iran are described and analyzed in order to provide a scientific social network. The results show that “search for desired information” and “informed of the friends’ situation” are the main reasons to join the social networks. Fundamental issues of developing the desired networks from the audiences’ perspective in this area include “cultural weaknesses associated with the conversation” and “review and analysis of IT infrastructure. The most effective factors in stability of the network include “to provide and access the latest and most reliable scientific resources such as articles, books, and etc. in the field of technology management”, “to declare the requirement of relevant research projects”, and “to provide e-learning services”.

The quality of college life means the overall satisfaction of students from the college life as a whole which is affected by different aspects of life based on the theory of generalization. The aim of this study is to evaluate the quality of college life among local and non-local students from non-state universities in Tehran. This study is developmental with respect to the aim and uses survey method for data gathering. The statistical population of the study are undergraduate students and 500 samples are chosen from the universities in the target population randomly and data are gathered using the questionnaire designed by the researcher the validity of the questionnaire has been verified based on the views of 5 experts and using some similar tested questionnaires as a model. The reliability has been estimated using Alpha Cronbach’s index by pre-test of 15 samples about 0.86. To data analyze SPSS software and statistical tests are used. The quality of the college life of students has been evaluated significantly lower than average and the quality of college life of non-local students is significantly higher than the quality of college life of local students. The low quality of college life shows that higher education policies on quality and national resources productivity have had low effectiveness. Dissatisfaction of students, as the key stakeholder of higher education system, from quality of college life could be a starting point to stray away from the higher education missions and philosophies. It is necessary that academic managers and leaders make serious decisions to promote the quality of college life. The higher education without the quality of college life, will be defeating the purpose.

The media, along with the content they distribute, involve particular nature and structures that can transform patterns of thinking, behaviors, and emotions. With the emergence of social media and the increasing rate of human interactions in the virtual world, human emotions (including love) have been re-defined in this new space. This issue has been addressed by renowned theorists such as Giddens and Bauman. The present survey investigated the relationship between social/mass media and (liquid) love and the consequences of this relationship as perceived by Shiraz University students. To gather data, 386 students were selected through stratified, probability sampling and completed the copies of a researcher-made questionnaire. The reliability and validity of the questionnaire were confirmed through Cronbach’s alpha and face validity. Results revealed that there was a significant relationship between virtual social networks, domestic and foreign media, and liquid love. Furthermore, the variables of virtual social networks, domestic and foreign media, and liquid love showed a significant relationship to attitude toward marriage. In the structural equation model (processed in Amos), three variables, namely virtual social networks usage, domestic mass media usage, and foreign mass media usage, respectively, left the highest degrees of impact on liquid love. Moreover, three variables, namely domestic mass media usage, foreign mass media usage, and liquid love, significantly affected attitude toward marriage with coefficients of 0.199, -0.113, and -0.414, respectively.

Centralized, unbalanced, and unequal development in the last century has posed serious challenges to Iran's social setup, including ever-increasing deprivation in some metropolitan areas. The city of Kermanshah, apart from these processes, has experienced double deprivation, due to other factors such as an imposed war as well as its special geographical, social and cultural characteristics. This deprivation is the main theme of this study, with emphasis on everyday life among deprived and privileged areas of Kermanshah. We have surveyed and analyzed indices of the economic capital, cultural capital, leisure time activities, body management, and preferences (in literature, cinema, music, food, and economics domains), in 13 deprived and 2 privileged neighborhoods, with 800 samples. Findings indicate that deprived neighborhoods generally follow a relatively similar pattern in different economic, cultural, leisure, tastes and body management arenas, despite minor differences, the main feature of which is poverty and deprivation. In most indicators, there found to be a significant difference between deprived and privileged areas. Also, there had been a positive correlation between the economic situation and the variables of "cultural capital", "body management", "artistic and literary preferences" and "economic logic". Demographic variables such as age, education and job were also important in changing the amount of capitals.

This study was conducted based on analysis of four impressive films in these two decades. Two of them are popular movies (Ganje Gharoon and Khater Khah) and the two other (Khesht-o Ayeni and Ragbar) are related to avantgarde cinema. Although they are different in presenting the city in some aspects, the results reveal that both approaches emphasise on the negative aspects of the city and expose latent contradictions in the extreme way.

The empirical studies undertaken on academic culture in Iran suggest an inefficient academic acculturation and students alienation from the structure and process of a desired academic culture. A sense of powerlessness, normlessness, anomie, social isolation and in general strangement from the self, educational processes, unverrsity camp, academic staff members and also from other students is increasingly growing in the minds and feelings of a considerable number of higher education students in humanities and social sciences. Drawing on a mixed methodology, the following paper aims to reconstruct the phenomenology of academic and educational alienation based on students personal lived experience and narrativity. Apart from accounting for internal and external social factors affecting this experience, we have proposed a typology of the types of alienation experienced by different groups of students and the strategies they have adopted to counter it. Results suggest that alienation is directly affected by culture politics and involves different social, psychological, and economic consequences in their lives.

In the last few decades sustainable development has become a universal cause. One of the key requirements to achieve sustainable development is rethinking and identifying the concepts and requisites consistent with this idea that rests heavily on environmental, social, and economic sustainability. In this light, this conceptual study aims to re-analyze concepts like "social capital" and the diversionary narration of development, and to draw attention to the important role of knowledge-producing institutions and fundamental knowledge requirements that underlie and influence the quantity and quality of social capital and consequently sustainable development. Conceptualizing and applying an analytico-critical approach requires a systematic, analytical and critical review, which forms the main part of the research methodology employed in this study. In addition, to reinforce the applicability of this article, experiences of some international institutions and advanced countries are accentuated. My findings, which are based on theoretical and empirical studies, emphasize on quality and relevance of education as well as re-conceptualized requisites and new approaches to future education. The reflection of these concepts in citizens' social capital lays the necessary ground for sustainable development.

As a proper example of cultural technologies, digital games have been under a vast range of studies. In addition, the daily growth in the market and production of games have turned them into a huge industry. In the meantime, Mobile platform gained the largest amount of the growth in revenue. As there is an extending revenue in Mobile platform, it is important to understand game audiences' preferences & tastes for developing mobile games into an even bigger industry. Therefore, in this article, the technology-based Expectation-Confirmation Model (ECM) is developed to investigate the affecting factors on mobile games' purchase intention. The model explains when gamers face an in-app purchase, free to play mobile game, they try to compare their perceptions with their expectations and when the confirmation of the expectations happens, a mix of values including monetary, performance, emotional, social, and innovation values will be perceived, which they lead to satisfaction and purchase intention. In addition, this study has investigated the effects of habit, trust, free alternatives, and online reviews on purchase intention. For this purpose, an online survey has been implemented for the players of "Clash of Clans" and a sample size of 766 people made it possible to test the hypotheses in both 95 and 99 confidence levels. The results show that perceived value for money, emotional perceived value, trust, and habit have a positive effect on purchase intention of mobile games. On the contrary, no relations have been identified between satisfaction, free alternatives, and online reviews with PI.

Semiotics is the science of studying the sign systems and, in fact, an interpretive process for understanding the hidden truth behind the signs, mysteries, and signs and cultural symbols.
