Abstract
Abstract Research Aim: This study aimed to analyze the structural relations of parental power and examine children's experiences of violence and gender discrimination in the family to identify and explain the mechanisms of reproducing gender inequalities.

Research Method: The study was conducted using a grounded theory approach based on 31 in-depth and semi-structured interviews with children who had taken legal action against their parents, withdrawn due to cultural, customary, or legal reasons, or taken no action due to the lack of criminalization of parental behavior. Data were analyzed conceptually and systematically, and relevant theoretical structures were extracted.

Findings: The results showed that traditional beliefs, patriarchal dominance, children's financial dependence on parents, and experiences of violence facilitate the reproduction of gender inequality in the family. The hierarchical structure of the family, gendered division of labor, distrust in the judicial system, and high costs of legal pursuit limit improvements. Children either resist or submit to "gender-unequal structures," leading to psychological and identity consequences such as depression, anxiety, and reduced self-confidence.

Conclusion: Gendered power relations in the family reinforce the reproduction of structural and cultural inequalities and leave profound psychological and social effects, highlighting the need to reform attitudes and create supportive and legal mechanisms. (220 words)
