چکیده

با توجه به اینکه عصر کنونی «عصر ارتباطات» شناخته شده است و بهرغم اینکه تعاریف متعددی تا کنون برای مفهوم ارتباطات ارائه شده، اما هنوز این مفهوم نیازمند تعریفی مناسبتر و جامعتر است.یکی از مشکلات جدی در تعریف ارتباطات، بدیهی بودن معنای آن و تحقق آن در همه ابعاد زندگی است. بدیهی بودن معنای ارتباط به معنای دستیابی به تعریف روشن آن نیست، بلکه عملاً، این بدیهی بودن، خود یکی از معضلات جدی دستیابی به تعریفی جامع و مانع در این زمینه است.تعریف دقیق ارتباطات نه فقط به درک عمیقتری از این مفهوم کمک می‌کند، از جهتی دیگر، میتواند رابطه میان فرهنگ و رسانه را نیز تبیین نماید. در این مقاله تلاش شده است که تعاریف و معانی مختلف مفهوم «ارتباطات» با استفاده از روش تحلیل معناشناسی بررسی و تعریف جدیدی در این زمینه ارائه شود. این تعریف، نه تنها نگاه جدیدی را درباره معنای مفهومی ارتباطات ارائه میدهد، زمینه مناسبی نیز برای درک هر چه بهتر و عمیقتر رابطه فرهنگ با رسانهها، بهعنوان مهمترین وسایل ارتباطات جمعی، در سطوح مختلف فردی، اجتماعی و میانفرهنگی به وجود میآورد.
